If you reside around Green Bay and areas south, you got into a lot more sunshine then expected today. Highs reached the 20s and low to mid 30s this afternoon. With the sunshine and temperatures around or above freezing, this has helped start our melting process of snow and ice. After a breezy day, winds will ease tonight, but with the addition of moisture into the atmosphere, expecting low clouds to develop.
These clouds will help keep temperatures from free falling, so it should be a warmer night in the mid to upper teens.
The weather pattern we are in now does not bring big time storms for the area, but instead, more on the offering of weak clipper systems. Tomorrow, a series of two will move into the area. One will bring the chance of isolated light snow or flurries for the morning into the early afternoon. Little accumulations are expected. With highs reaching the middle to upper 30s under mostly cloudy skies, anything that does accumulate will melt.
This should clear well ahead of the Monday AM commute. We really kick in to the milder air for Monday, with highs reaching the middle and upper 40s, possible reaching 50 areas south and west of the Fox River Valley. I did mention yesterday of another clipper Monday night into Tuesday, but latest data has shifted that south of the area. At most, might clip our far southern counties. Highs continue their run in the 40s for much of the week. Eyeing up a rain and snow mixture for Wednesday, followed by a cool off back to normal in terms of temperatures by weeks end.
