The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is the largest Greek university. The main campus is located in the city center and covers an area of approximately , m2.
It comprises 11 faculties, 40 departments and 1 single departmental faculty. There are 64 clinics medical, dental, veterinary , institutional laboratories, and 23 Study Centres. The Central Library of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, one of the largest in the Balkans, and the 47 regional libraries of the Departments and Faculties constitute the library system of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Currently, the Faculty of Engineering hosts more than students and more than faculty members, comprising engineering laboratories and 7 libraries. The Budapest University of Technology and Economics considers its role as to develop international relations in favour of improvement of expertise, knowledge and international reputation of professors, researchers and students.
The University aspires to develop co-operations promoting research and education in the field of international relations as well as to evolve different forms of mobility. Major targets are: to broaden the international education programs of the University to participate in mobility programs supported by the European Union.
The University reputation has been growing by the approx. Since the 80's regular full time programs in English have been offered in B. Sc, M. Additional international students have joined the University programs in mobility schemes for one or two semesters. CTU provides high-quality university education through an extensive portfolio of primarily engineering branches of study, conduct basic and applied research and numerous scientific projects with great emphasis on industrial use and applications.
