Dawsy and several others talked recently to members of the Chronicle Editorial Board about space needs, months after some, like Administra- tive Judge Patricia Thomas, said they had run out of room.
The judge said things are only going to get worse with popula- tion growth and the demand for services. Several constitutional offi- cers, including Supervisor of Elections Susan Gill, were to appear before the county com- mission last Tuesday to discuss their latest concerns. The meeting had to be rescheduled because of Tropical Storm Alberto, and a new date has not been decided. While the news of tight quar- ters is nothing new, the officers are joined in frustration at what some view as a lack of progress to find answers.
