Welcome and Introductions. I'm a holistic day spa owner in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn NY , planning to make a HUGE change in my life after 13 years of business ownership by moving to Lausanne to teach English and hopefully still doing skin care and therapeutic massage on occasion. From what I can gather, it will greatly enhance my teaching opportunities there. I spent most of my time living in LES, but about 4 months in ft.
Brooklyn is great, new york is great, i miss them of course but life in Lausanne is completely different. I just passed my 3 month mark since arriving here and im very happy. You will feel so safe here. On the other hand, its funny to realize that as far as courtesy on the sidewalk and even making eye contact with strangers, the majority of the people here seem a little busy and sometimes rude.
Of course people here are nice when you talk to them, hopefully your french is better than mine! Good luck with the move! Slammer 26 November 3. If you are a beer drinker you can get the good stuff from the Brooklyn brewery in Coop.
