We assume that these two texts can be analysed with reference to some generic characteristics, namely, 1 spontaneity, interactivity, low self-monitoring in the blog and 2 planning, high control and self-monitoring in the memoir.
These textual characteristics can be loosely associated to genres typical of speech and writing, respectively, hence a selective comparison of passages taken from the two texts will test these assumptions.
A quantitative and qualitative analysis will be presented to this end. In the concluding remarks, the findings of this study will be discussed. Bloggers often write about personal interests. The content of Pakistani female bloggers' blogs might reveal their views on women's rights and empowerment, social issues, education, fashion, and lifestyle.
Pakistani female bloggers' gender discourse is examined using women's language traits. This study investigates linguistic patterns and issues of interest within a specific group to get insight into the role of women in Pakistani online discourse and gendered communication in digital spaces. This study could use qualitative research methods and data acquisition.
The qualitative section of this research analyses the chosen female bloggers' blog postings to identify linguistic patterns, vocabulary, grammatical structures, and other language characteristics.
