Please email in advance so we know we have room. In this class students will increase their understanding of and comfort with rendering the human figure.
It is assumed that all students have some prior drawing experience. This is an opportunity for artists to work on drawings or paintings in front of a live art model. Please bring your own drawing materials. Easels are available. Call or check our website for dates and times. The studio has an exceptional atmosphere, small groups, and personal approach.
There are several life model courses in drawing and painting: Tuesdays pm Figure Drawing; Sunday ampm Figure Drawing; Sunday pm Portrait Painting. The studio is equipped with easels, stools, etc. We practice long several session poses as well as gesture drawing.
Anatomy, proportions, tonal modeling, movement, character are just a few topics covered. We hire figure models. Monday pm. This is the perfect opportunity to practice your skills at your own pace in your choice of media, with access to a live nude model. Artists are required to bring their own drawing materials.
