Indeed, it is rude to ask customers to move to another table while eating, so is telling customers they cannot take a table when telling customers can take any available table, would suggest like most restaurants practice, escort the customers directly to the table to avoid any misunderstanding.
I am sorry that I commented OLD lady instead of OLDER lady as there was two lady waitresses in the restaurant, am trying to identify which of the 2 waitresses without knowing the name. Perhaps it was the cooking handling method that made it tough. I always thought that you should seasoned your meat before cooking as per most restaurants n cooking instructions n recommendations. We put this in place to avoid moving people whilst they are eating, We have limited tables for four persons. Even though the restaurant wasn't busy, we still put this policy in place. On previous occasions customers have become quite upset that we have asked them to move whilst they are eating.
