Your child will be introduced to kindergarten activities such as art, music and movement, math and science, literacy development, games, and social interaction with other children.
In addition to the basic curriculum, we will explore the beach, camping, dinosaurs, and much more! Children attending MUST be potty trained and at least 4 years of age before the program begins. Please check the ages of the classes to make sure your child is in the appropriate class.
This class will prepare you for the coming school year by introducing reading, writing, and math basics that will be covered in your next grade. Have fun while preparing for next year! If you love to read and write, you will love this class.
Students will learn to make a variety of books to add to their library. Picture books, flip books, and pop-up books are the types of books that will be written, illustrated, and published by students. We will go step-by-step through the process of creating a book. You will write your own story, develop your characters, and create pictures to enhance your story! In this class you will have creative freedom to express yourself and have fun! In this class you will write and illustrate your very own book!
We will take a deep dive into storytelling, developing characters and plot twists. In this class you will learn about the stars and their constellations, movements of the planets and celestial bodies in our solar system, and the speculated age of our galaxy. We will discover earth and its layers, including volcanoes, igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks, and crystals found in our own local soil and rocks. The class will include hands-on activities with creating models and sculptures.
