Despite the prohibition against buying sexual services, it happens all year round and around the clock. Police and social services work closely together to map out sex trafficking and intervene Bill, Previous research shows that organizations through their various competencies and knowledge should work together to meet the needs of service users affected by complex societal problems.
Against this background, the purpose of the study is to contribute to an increased understanding of collaboration between different actors working on the issue of prostitution in Stockholm. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, interviews have taken place with actors within the relevant organizations in Stockholm who work with the issue of prostitution. The collected material has been analyzed based on theory of collaboration and new institutional organization theory.
The chosen theories complement each other because the study focuses on human-treating organizations in collaboration with each other. These organizations are studied from a collaboration perspective and an organizational perspective.
The results of the study show that there is a close collaboration between the selected organizations. The organizations cooperate primarily through the exchange of knowledge and efforts. Based on the selected themes, the actors have described the promoting factors, the hindering factors and the development areas for their collaboration work.
One of the conclusions of the study is that there is a lack of resources and staff with knowledge and skills working with a large field such as prostitution in Stockholm and this affects the collaboration work. There is a need for knowledge about how it is to live in prostitution. The prerequisites for successful collaboration in the work against prostitution are more resources and more staff with knowledge.
