John Paul St. Marie was arrested and charged with one count of engaging in prostitution in connection with the case.
Authorities were investigating the incident at the Crown Plaza Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. Authorities said in the days leading up to April 19, they learned from a Ramsey County probation officer that St.
Marie was accessing prostitution escort service web sites and emailing suspected prostitutes. It violated his probation violation after he was convicted for previous involvement with the "Nice Guys Prostitution Ring. A Minneapolis Police Sergeant learned that St.
Marie had arranged for an evening meeting with a suspected prostitute on April 19 at the Crown Plaza Hotel. Authorities were able to monitor St. Marie on that day and watch him make a stop before going into the hotel. He then went into a room where they suspected the prostitution.
Police said they entered the room and found St. Marie inside with a prostitute. He admitted to bringing the woman there to engage in prostitution.
