Fri Closed. Previous scores from the paper-pencil test may not be combined with the scores achieved as a result of taking the computer-based test. All registration, payment, and test scheduling are done online; examinees only come to the adult school on their selected test date. Photo ID must be presented at time of testing. The identification must be current and must include name,birthdate, picture, address and signature.
In the event that California residency cannot be verified with just one of the above, proof of residency must be provided by bringing an additional document in the form of a bank statement, utility bill or rental agreement. This includes the practice test, teacher directed classroom instruction in math and writing, as well as 6 months of general test preparation with the assistance of qualified instructors.
You can enroll in this program anytime. It also focuses on the fundamental skills needed to write an organized, multi-paragraph essay. Students will practice analyzing arguments, and using relevant and specific evidence to plan and write an extended response to an assigned topic. Our class focuses on the content and format of the test, as well as the skills needed to achieve a passing score.
Topics covered: Number sense and problem solving; Decimals and fractions; Ratio, proportion and percent; Data, statistics and Probability; Algebra Basics; Expressions, and polynomials; Equations, inequalities and functions, and Geometry.
Our adult high school diploma program is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. We offer adult students a flexible schedule conducive to successful completion of their high school diploma. Credits toward our high school completion program can be transferred from other accredited high schools or colleges.
