Alessandra loves her work. Her main goal in every treatment is to deliver a quality therapeutic massage tailored to the individual needs of each client, in a nurturing environment. Specializing in deep tissue massage, she helps trouble shoot specific areas of concern through the use of a variety of therapeutic massage styles, incorporating her collective knowledge of medical massage techniques, active release and myofascial methods. Alessandra feels fortunate everyday for the clients she is able to serve, and finds her work gratifying and grounding.
Alessandra seeks continuing education in bodywork modalities whenever her schedule allows. In spring of she attended a John F. Experience the benefits of CBD and Cannabis massage. Topicals have many positive results, and are beloved by clients as a way to enhance their massage. Living and working in an athletically active mountain community as Telluride, I see a lot of physical injuries amongst my clients and friends.
I consider myself one of the lucky ones, grateful to have not yet undergone a traumatic injury or surgery. Low back pain can be a tricky symptom to assess; thankfully more often than not, the discomfort can be attributed to soft tissue tension and weakness, frequently traced to the deep and mysterious QL, or, quadratus lumborum.
The QL is our deepest abdominal muscle, though easy to consider a back muscle due to its location and function. It is located under our superficial back muscles posteriorly, and under our superficial abdominal muscles and psoas anteriorly, where we bend at the waist. Her strength and caring touch has healed the neck and hip pain that I have had.
