This recruitment will be used to fill multiple TLT vacancies, and may also be used to create an eligibility list for TLT vacancies throughout the next six months. Security Officers are required to wear a ballistic vest throughout the entirety of their assigned shift except during approved breaks. Security Officers are required to report to a variety locations throughout King County for business and training needs.
Term-Limited Temporary positions are "at will" but are full-time and eligible for comprehensive benefits. TLT positions may be eligible for retirement benefits. Job Duties The most successful candidates, at a minimum, will demonstrate skill and ability to: Safeguard County property against damage or loss; enforce building operation and safety regulations, and control ingress and egress of assigned County premises.
Make security checks of assigned premises, check doors, windows, and building perimeters and write reports of criminal activity and unusual or unsafe conditions. Safeguard County employees and authorized persons and occasionally provide security escort service to County employees to ensure their safety.
