Parents need to know that The Ref is a dramatic comedy released in about an on-the-rocks married couple—Lloyd Kevin Spacey and Caroline Judy Davis —getting ready to host a Christmas Eve dinner. But they get kidnapped and held prisoner in their own home by Gus Denis Leary , a career jewel thief.
The film has lots of sex references, as the characters often bring up sex and relationships, sexual situations, marital conflicts, and affairs.
